Respeecher Agents API

The Respeecher Agents API lets you launch a real-time, low-latency voice agent and talk to it from the browser (or any device). Respeecher Agents is compatible with client libraries of the open-source Pipecat framework.

  1. Launch — your backend calls POST /launch with a prompt and optionally other configuration and gets back a room URL.
  2. Connect — your client joins that room with a Pipecat SDK and the conversation starts.
  3. Events (optional) — the client can subscribe to events like speaking activity or agent transcriptions to enhance the default audio-only experience, and can send text into the conversation from code.
  4. Tools (optional) — if you declared client tools at launch, the agent calls them on your client during the conversation and you return results.

Authentication​

Every request is authenticated with a bearer token. See Authentication. Keep this key on your server — never ship it to the browser.
